Skirt: thrifted, no tag
Tank: Love on a Hanger
Cardigan: Nordstrom
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
I think this outfit has a schoolteacherish vibe with the long floral skirt, but the tank is also kind of sexy — low cut with, um, strategically placed ruffles that overlap like petals. Hence the title of this post, which I hoped would make sense but felt like I had to explain.
The skirt is yet another Pasadena Goodwill find for $4.99, and I like how the cardigan picks up the darker, closer-to-burgundy sections that run across the fuchsia flowers. It’s hard to tell even in the close-up shot, but parts of the fabric are matte and parts have a sheen that makes them slightly lighter. I see so many floral skirts like this in thrift stores. If you keep an eye out, it shouldn’t be too difficult to eventually stumble upon one that suits you. I just had to buy this skirt because it has several colors that I like to wear and it’s pleated.
Also, these nude pumps from Urban Outfitters are the best! I plan on wearing them a lot this spring. They’re available in several other colors too.
I ADORE this outfit! Super cute! I love the tank. Nordstrom Rack?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think I got it on sale at a regular Nordstrom store...I don't remember which one. I've had it for two or three years.
ReplyDeleteI just love how amazingly everything is coordinated. This is where I just can't put together an outfit to save my life. And hey! I remember those shoes!
ReplyDelete(This is another entry with a huge space! I don't know why it does this every other entry (or why I only see it on my feed). If it's an auto-formatting thing or what. Do you put in line breaks or is it just Blogspot adding spaces randomly?)
Hmmm...I can't figure out why some of the posts are looking like that for you! I went in and looked at the HTML on this one, and I don't see a bunch of breaks. A while back I would see them in there sometimes, but I've tried posting differently (posting photos first, centered; then adding text; then left justifying the photos) and haven't seen any weird spacing in the HTML since.
ReplyDeleteAlso, apparently Natasha still can't post comments. I turned off the CAPTCHA, but the blog just won't accept comments from her. Sigh...Blogger, come on!
So strange! I've never seen anything like it. It's not that huge a deal, it's just like a page of space sometimes. Next time there's a weird one, maybe we can swap a text file of the post itself and I can check it out for you.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, if you went back with this one, it's back to normal again! Yey!
Heather, this outfit is the best! Very nice use of colors, patterns, solids and shape. Those shoes are great. You could wear them with a lot of things. I also like your posture the way you are standing ;) so cute!
