A Leaf Affair

Headband: Urban Outfitters
Top: H&M
Skirt: thrifted
Shoes: Urban Outfitters

I don’t have any job news yet, but one of my professional references emailed me today to say that she had just been contacted by the company and given me a review. Yay! I hope this means I’ll find out whether I have the job in the next couple of days.

Last week I was at the mall in Arcadia and, although I wasn’t intending to stop at H&M, I was lured in by the giant “SALE” signs in the windows. I found this top on one of the sale racks there, and it’s perfect for fall in Southern California — sleeveless but in a nice rusty reddish color. I like how, with the green and yellow, this outfit’s colors resemble changing leaves. They also remind me of apples.

  5. You're new top is super cute <3 I would have been tempted by the sale sign too.

Hopefully you'll hear back from them soon, the fact that they've called your references is a good sign, fingers crossed xox

  6. Such a pretty outfit...the lovely pink bow top is ideal for transitioning into summer. The best of luck with the job...the reference check generally just seems to be a formality before the good news. Just spotted your previous outfit post now too and I think it's one of my favourites of yours...I looove it!

  7. Calling the references is a great sign I think. It's so very hard to be patient about things like job searches. Love these colors on you, they are perfect for a fall wardrobe.

  17. My fingers are still crossed for you too! Sometimes those HR people are just busy and so it takes a little while to hear back, but good things come to those who wait! So I have a very good feeling! And I love your pretty outfit- I was thinking about hitting up the H&M here this weekend too ;)

  19. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this outfit! It's so pretty and the colors are perfect. And, I was really hoping that your top was not a recent H&M purchase... I've been trying very hard to avoid the big sale going on right now.
