Dress: vintage
Belt: thrifted
Shoes: Target
Handbag: Tignanello
I’ve been dying to wear this vintage Sears dress! My sister, Hillary, found it for me the last time we went shopping at Quality Thrift before she left for Australia. It’s in perfect condition and machine washable...and they only charged $5.99 for it! I love you, Quality Thrift. I found the red belt at Goodwill for $1.99, and the shoes for about $5 at Target, so if you don’t include the handbag, this outfit cost less than $15. The bag, I’ll admit, was a splurge. I bought it a few years ago for about $60 at Marshalls because it was exactly what I had been looking for: a very simple hobo in a matte metallic. It also has a magnetic closure — no zippers to fumble with!
I went to Crossroads and sold some clothes today (well, I traded for one top and took cash for the remainder), then went to the Pasadena Goodwill at Altadena and Foothill. I only bought a red sweater on this trip, but that location is becoming my favorite Goodwill. The employees there are so cool and funny. There’s a woman with a great voice who makes all kinds of announcements over the PA system. Today she was hawking items in the boutique section that would make good Valentine’s Day gifts “for that special someone (dramatic pause) in your life.”
AW MAN. Blogger ate my comment!
