This outfit was inspired by an outfit that I saw one of my coworkers wear recently and by this outfit Amber wore on The Girly Bird. I had seen both of them in this color combination one after the other and just loved it. It also put my chambray shirt to good use. I can’t wear this shirt without a sweater over it because it gaps at the bust. Has anyone seen a nice, soft chambray shirt anywhere recently without pockets on the front? Because I really want to buy one that fits me correctly, but they all seem to have boob pockets (or just one boob pocket), and I just can’t rock shirts like that.
This outfit is so sleek and lovely, and the colour combination works really well. It's amazing how impossible it is to find basics like a good chambray shirt. My sister and I were trying to buy a nice one for my mom a few years ago and it was ridiculous... they were all too fitted, or distressed, or dip-died, or whatever...

Loving this outfit to pieces! You put my outfit to shame.
ReplyDeleteI swear by safety pins for gaping shirts...well, discretely placed safety pins :)This outfit is really pretty...love the colour combo, the collar peeking out and the pleats of the skirt!
ReplyDeletethe red with that little pop of chambray is so sweet. I love mixing bright solids with the distressed, light wash look of chambray!
