My sister Hillary who’s living in Melbourne with her fiancé sent me this cardigan for my birthday, and I love it! Maybe I should have called this post “Aussie Cardy” because reading Australian and New Zealander blogs I’ve noticed that people down under spell the word that way. But it is “cardi” here in the U.S. and “theater” is “theatre” and so on.
Also, I have to say Australians have the best slang. A couple favorite phrases that I’ve learned so far are “technicolor yawn” (vomit) and “flash as a rat with a gold tooth” (ostentatious, flashily dressed). Whenever I imagine this similaic (is that even a word?) gold-toothed rat I start cracking up.
Cut cardi! I'm Australian and I have to admit I've never seeing it spelt as "Cardy". :)

ReplyDeleteYou really look fantastic in those jeans! This makes me want to break out mine and wear my yellow cardigan with them. Though this yellow cardigan is way cuter than mine! I love the detailing at the top.
