I haven’t been photo bombed by Zeus in a while! It’s too bad you can’t really see him that well, but, yep, he decided to join us today for a few photos.
I kind of threw this outfit together after seeing the photos of the first outfit I’d planned for today. I’ve never done that before, but the first outfit I put together this morning was just SO wrong. This second attempt isn’t all that amazing, but at least it’s comfortable and looks pretty good, I think. I tend to reach for this skirt when I’m in a hurry because it’s easy to style an outfit around.
I went to Crossroads today and was only able to sell one item for $2.98, which was disappointing because I could really use some cash this week. That’s always how it is, though, isn’t it? The more desperate you are, the less they buy.
After Crossroads I went to Monrovia, two cities east of Pasadena, so I could sit and read at Monrovia Coffee Company. It’s one of the few cafes in the area that has lots of comfortable seating and isn’t too crowded. I just hope they stay in business because it was so pleasant sitting there in a big squishy chair with a book and a cheap scoop of ice cream. I also overheard a hilarious conversation between this guy and an old high school (female) friend he ran into (and eventually started hitting on). My favorite part was when he told her that he now has a “beautiful blonde daughter” who is his “karmic child” in return for all the “pretty young girls” he seduced in his youth.
Ah I love the kitty in the background! And I have those same shoes, they are so adorable! I also have a big bag of stuff to bring to crossroads one of these days, but I know chances are low they will actually take anything :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great outfit! I really love the print on your blouse and your saddle shoes. I'm sure the first outfit was just as cute :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love overhearing weird conversations. A "karmic child?" So bizarre!
I really love those shoes. Every time you wear them I think of how fun they'd be to incorporate into my own wardrobe. Perhaps someday I'll find a pair like that!
ReplyDeleteAdoooooooore your shoes!!! Such a cute look! Great outfit post!!
ReplyDeletebtw, I just launched my brand new blog, MOONSTRUCK EXPOSÉ!
I was formerly blogging on, I Live For It, where we followed each other.
Hope you'll come visit and follow along!
I'm of course following you from moonstruck now. ;)
Hope you've been well, babe!

Haha, that guy sounds like a bit of a creepster!
ReplyDeleteYou look so lovely, as always! I want shoes like that, they are so precious! And I didn't even notice that cute kitty in the background at first- he is very good at camouflage. :)
You look great! I love those shoes. I wish I had a cafe around here I could read in. That guy does sound like a creeper. Sometimes overhearing conversations can make for an entertaining day!
ReplyDeleteyour cat is so beautiful! he looks really fluffy too, haha! and that happens to me as well, about that part where you change outfits because it just feels too crappy. Usually it just means we're in a style funk and no outfit can save you from that, you'll need to sleep it off! :D
ReplyDeleteI love the floral blouse on you! And I can't help but laugh about what the man said to his high school classmate. Sometimes I belittle myself to thinking that I'm an awkward conversationalist; however, that's just terrible!

ReplyDeleteI love listening to other people's conversations! So entertaining.
