Blouse, skirt, belt and shoes: thrifted
I like that I’m ending the month with a Thrifted Thursday post. It makes me feel a sense of completion in some weird way. I guess that is my OCDness coming out. I especially like that it’s number 12.
This skirt is surprisingly comfortable for hot weather because, even though it’s dark, it’s a nice soft, cool cotton or rayon blend and it’s full and flowy. I don’t know for sure what it’s made of (I just got up and tried to find a tag with that info, but it doesn’t seem to have one), but yeah, it’s comfortable. I was thinking about cutting it shorter, but now I think I will leave it alone. Maybe.
nice pattern on the skirt
ReplyDeleteThis outfit has so many adorable points! The collar, the pintucks, the pattern and colors on your skirt....and I love the length as is! I also thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your etsy shop! I hope it works out well!
ReplyDeleteAaaah! wonderful skirt! Lovely colors, and I think the length is just right!
ReplyDeletexoxo mama wolf.
Cool print on that skirt! I hate when I can't find what material something is made of. I love the blue top you paired with all the fun colors in that skirt.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that the skirt's pattern looks like little people with their arms right at their sides, but then your last photo made you look just like one of the little pattern people!
ReplyDeleteI really like the length, but it would be cute shorter too. I think it's win-win whatever you decide.
I like the funky color mix and pattern, I'd go shorter, but I'm convinced everything looks better shorter.

I love the red shoes, this skirt is super sweet. The skirt looks cute this length, but you're right it could be shorter. It's hardest to decide about full skirts like this. I like wearing things a couple times before hacking off the length.
ReplyDeleteI think this feature is honestly one of my favorites of yours and I definitely want to start doing something similar. Is that horrible?--would you mind?
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this outfit: the peter pan collar, the skirt, the pop of red. I've been wanting a pair of pretty red shoes because I've decided that I don't wear the color red enough and shoes seems an easy way to incorporate it into outfits.
great outfit, its so adorable!

ADORABLE. seriously, i love it. i think the skirt-length is nice as is, but maybe it's because you are holding it up slightly in the photo. ps- i don't think i've asked this before, but do you live in southern california? i am from fullerton. i noticed your cat is from pamona, and i've seen palm trees in your photos :)
ReplyDeletelove the blouse (i've been scouring thrift stores for all-things-peter-pan-collared, well scored!) and i think the length is perfect. don't touch it! it would be a shame.
ReplyDeleteMY husband hates tattoos of all kinds (!!!) so thank yours for me!
that skirt was a great find. The print is really cool and I like the length on you. Glad you decided against making it shorter.
ReplyDelete@Lea: No, of course I wouldn't mind! I think part of the reason I like doing it is that it's a way of limiting what you can choose from (like 30 for 30), so it's a fun little challenge...that's not TOO challenging if you have a lot of thrifted clothes, haha.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks pretty that length! And I love how you matched your shoes and your lipstick!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you!
Loving that skirt the style and colours are beautiful. Don't shorten it, it's perdect the way it is.
ReplyDeletei love all the colors in the your skirt!
ReplyDeleteyou styled it perfectly..the length is absolutely lovely.
yeah, perfect length, don't chop it (just yet anyway)!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have the best luck with thrifting! Everything goes so well together. The pop of red is perfect. I'm beginning to think red is your color!
