Why Not?

Top: Odille from Anthropologie
Skirt: Forever 21
Shoes: Urban Outfitters

It’s hot and I wanted to be comfortable today doing laundry, taking photos for the Etsy shop I’m planning to start and otherwise hanging around the apartment, so I knew I wanted to wear this loose, casual skirt. I’ve worn it a LOT, though, and wanted to pair it with something I’d never worn it with before. In a different print. So after going through a bunch of striped tops, I finally thought, “Hey, how about the Crossroads-reject top?” This floral top has been rejected by Crossroads several times, and it’s a good thing because I have fallen in love with it again and want to keep it after all now that I see how nice it looks with this skirt.

  1. This outfit looks so light, flowy, and comfy! What an interesting combination...I love it!

  2. I love mixing pattern combinations, and this is such a pretty example of that! That color looks great on you :)

Yes, you should definitely keep the top!

  3. These two prints mix together really nicely. It almost looks like a dress when they're put together! Adorable skirt!

  4. I love the mix and I love the angles on the top of your top.

  5. youre lovely!
you got a really nice blog!
    I'm following now!
    wanna follow me?

  6. You're awesome at pattern mixing, this looks so cool and effortless!

  7. I love patterns you decided to mix here. The florals really work well with the polka dots.

  8. those two work very well together. good for you for wearing a "crossroads reject"-- they are crazy for not taking it. i awlays feel like my rejected stuff is "tainted" after and never feel like wearing it and just end up donating.

  9. Ug, the weather has been so hot and uncomfortable lately. Loose close and definitely the way to go!

    xoxo mama wolf.
