Sparkling Cranberry

Sweater: thrifted
Necklace: My So Called Vintage giveaway
Skirt: BCBG Max Azria
Tights: Anthropologie sale bin
Shoes: thrifted

I feel like I should be wearing this to a holiday party because it reminds me of sparkling cranberry juice with the pink foam rising up. I guess it’s also kind of like a glass of just-poured red wine with bubbles at the top.

This skirt got on my bad side today because part of the hem fell out in front. I bought it at a sample sale, but STILL, I don’t think that should have happened the second time I wore it. It’s one of those hems where you can’t see the stitching on the outside, too, so I don’t think I can just fix it myself without making the skirt look weird. For now I’m using a piece of packing tape to hold it up.

  2. I really like these colors together. That sucks about the hem of your skirt, but doing an invisible hem is pretty easy. Google it! If I can do it, you definitely can.

  8. i second the recommendation to fix the hem. if you have a sewing machine with multiple stitches, invisible hems will be a cinch!

  9. I love the colour combination...it makes me think of pink champagne :) I'm useless at sewing too but there's an iron on hem you can get called wonderweb or something like that & it's amazing! No needles, thread or skill required :)

  10. OK so apparently my feed wasn't working and I've missed a ZILLION ENTRIES, so pardon if all these comments show up from me now!

I love the necklace with this outfit. I love that you are wearing more jewelry! So pretty.
