Top: thrifted
Skirt: J. Crew, a hand-me-down from my Aunt Judy
Shoes: Miss Albright
Pin: gift from my Aunt Judy
I feel like I have a somewhat weird look on my face in my outfit photo today, but it's the only photo I liked. I also think I should have tucked my blouse in. But sometimes I don’t want to do that because I feel like I do it all the time.
Well, as you can see from the outfit breakdown, two of the things in this outfit came from my Aunt Judy. I think the skirt might be from the ’80s or early ’90s. I’ve had it for about 10 years, and I’m sure my aunt had it for a while before that. She gave me the pin at Christmas when I was about eight or nine. Isn’t it sweet? I’m glad I still have it, and I think I should wear it more often.
I always tuck my blouses in too lately. It's okay! But I think this one looks good untucked! The little pin is really cute too. You could definitely easily incorporate that into more outfits.
ReplyDeleteYour pin is gorgeous I have so many pins but I always forget to put them on.
ReplyDeleteI love that pin.
ReplyDeleteI must be really unobserverant EL OH EL, omg that 3AM spelling job there. Unobservant because I thought the blouse was tucked until you pointed it out! It has a neat hem, so it looks good untucked too.
i think it looks lovely no tucked in.
ReplyDeletelove your little pin..i really wished i like jewelry bc i believe brooches would be something i would enjoy wearing.
I like the un-tucked shirt the angle of the bottom is really cute.
ReplyDeleteI have an ancient piece of jewelry that I got when I was about 8 too, mine is a butterfly necklace. I wear it all the time :)
I need a pleated skirt. It looks so cute. I also really like the floral print. I didn't notice a weird face at all :)
ReplyDeleteAw, that is very sweet! It's cool that you've kept it all this time. I really like the floral print on your top, and your Aunt Judy seems like one stylin' lady!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! I love pins :) I have a whole drawer full of them that I've collected over the years. I think this is such a pretty look! You were so smart to hold on to that cute skirt!
ReplyDeleteaunt judy has good taste. that skirt is lovely and your heart pin is adorable. You should definitely wear it more often :)
ReplyDeleteYes to florals! And I am so impressed by your Auntie's taste. What a lucky lady you are to have some of her clothes. Looking ever so lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteI really love the colors in this outfit! The gray with the cream and pink florals is lovely. Also, I think the blouse looks nice untucked :)
ReplyDeletevery cute. love the skirt as much as i love the blouse.

What a lovely grey skirt! They are hard things to come by (at least for me). I didn't even notice your blouse was un-tucked until you mentioned it! It appears to have that magical quality of looking good either way :)
ReplyDeleteSweet pin! And even sweeter to be from a beloved family member.
P.S. Thanks for the comment on my Van Buren post. I really appreciated it! Paper-doll-president making sounds rather fun. I think I would have enjoyed that as a kid.
I love this floral blouse! I've been trying to incorporate more floral tops in my wardrobe but I haven't been able to find the perfect one. The pin from your aunt is so pretty! It is so feminine and versatile I can imagine it on many other tops that you own. ;)
ReplyDeleteAw man, this is so cute! I hate Winter dressing, I just want to wear cute simple outfits like this every day.
