Back to Black

Top: Forever 21
Skirt: thrifted
Shoes: Naturalizer

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but if I had to pick a style “uniform” this would be it: a tee with short or elbow-length sleeves and a full skirt. I always feel good in this combination, though I like my pencil skirts too. I’m also happy to get back to wearing black because I love black, but I also like being comfortable and black in Southern California in the summer usually is not comfortable at all!

I spent about four hours looking for clothes for my Etsy shop today and gathered a nice haul of eight items. I also bought two vintage Japanese dinner plates with yellow flowers for our apartment. Part of me would like to sell dishes in my Etsy shop as well because I find a lot of pretty ones, but I’m afraid of breakage and high shipping costs.

  6. I always seem to find the cutest little china patterns when thrifting too. Only in ones of twos so we have a nice little set of non-matching white dishes now :)
I think this top was made to go with this skirt. It looks great.

  8. i love the lines of that skirt. it reminds me of the one viktor made in the most recent project runway. . . do you watch that? it was the most perfect skirt, in exactly this shape - different colors, but still. so flattering and lovely.
