Black Skirt Two Ways

Skirt: Cynthia Steffe
Sweater: DKNY Jeans
Knit top: Cotton On
Tights: Target or a sale bin at Anthropologie
Shoes: Pink Studio

I just got back from another Disneyland day, where I wore my DKNY Jeans sweater and this black Cynthia Steffe skirt that is the perfect “little black skirt.” I also wore it on Christmas Eve, and Jasen took some test photos that day, so I decided to show one of those photos below with outfit details. I love that this skirt is fitted and short enough to wear with a baggy sweater yet also has a high, elastic waist that’s flattering with a T-shirt or tank tucked into it.

If you’re thinking I go to Disneyland a lot...well...I kind of do, but the main reason I’ve gone twice in the last week is that I’m spending as much time as I can with my sister, Hillary, before she leaves to live in Australia for a year, and we both have Southern California annual passes. And she, of course, has wanted to go to Disneyland as often as possible before she can no longer use her pass. Today our youngest brother Jeremy came with us, and it was so good to enjoy the whole day with both of them. I only wish our other brother, Trevor, could have come too.

Hillary, thanks again for taking my photos today and yesterday!

I know there's a weird white speck on my skirt in this photo...please pretend it's not there. I'm too lazy to edit it out right now.

  1. Looove the second outfit. See, that's something I would never think or be brave enough to try- and it looks absolutely stunning.

Is there something different with the coding of this post? There was the most exaggo long return space below the second photo for me!

  2. Thanks! I'm so glad I got that skirt...it's really well made and fits nicely. It's also lined, so I can tuck tops in without having lumps show. Those tights are great for mixing with more complicated patterns, too, because their design is very simple.

I checked the HTML, and there was some weird spacing in it. I deleted it, so hopefully the post looks okay now...the spacing wasn't showing up on my computer before, so I couldn't tell.

  3. @29Skirts Yeah they all look perfect to me now! - I'm going to have to get better and coming and checking for replies here. I forget if there aren't notifications. I'll let you know if anything else looks different on my computer!
