Bright by the Beach

Top: thrifted
Skirt: thrifted
Bag: thrifted
Shoes: Urban Outfitters

This afternoon Jasen and I drove my mom from the Long Beach Airport to the hotel where she’s staying in Seal Beach, then walked around Seal Beach for a little while. And yeah, it was REALLY windy, which is why my hair is making me look like I was electrocuted!

I’m going to stay with my mom at the hotel on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so I’ll be posting some photos from my mini Seal Beach vacation later this week if the hotel has Wi-Fi or on the weekend if it doesn’t. Until then, here’s a photo of the city’s adorable street signs with seals on them:

My family has been visiting Seal Beach since at least the 1960s, I think. It’s such a relaxing and unpretentious beach compared to most of the Southern California beaches. They have a cute main street with lots of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, and I never have trouble finding free street parking within, oh, a quarter mile of the beach. Needless to say, I’m very excited about spending a couple days there! Also, I’m finally getting my hair cut on Thursday before I leave for the beach so I don’t have to resemble a mad scientist the whole time.
