Top, skirt, belt and shoes: thrifted
It rained all day yesterday, so today the air seems very clean and the sky looks beautiful — kind of unusual for the Los Angeles area. I haven’t heard back about the job yet, so I distracted myself with thrifting (what else?) and trying on premium jeans at Nordstrom Rack. I won’t name brand names, but none of them fit or looked flattering. So my search for a wide-leg pair with a high or at least medium rise continues.
Lovely skirt!
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship with the rain. At least I get to use an umbrella...
ReplyDeleteI am loving the bright pattern of the skirt, especially since it is a floral. And perfectly styled as always :-)
Ugh, pants are the hardest to shop for!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is BEAUTIFUL. I love the belt. I still need to thrift and find one or two belts.
ReplyDeleteOmg, I've LOVED the rain. Today was crystal clear!
Wow, I adore everything here, but very especially the belt and skirt, awesome thrifting finds! I feel ya on finding a good-fitting pair of jeans, near impossible for me for some reason.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you hear back soon :)
ReplyDeleteThat floral skirt is so pretty & I love the rouched sleeves on your cute wee top.
Pants are the only thing I don't buy second hand: SO hard to find stuff that actually fits and looks flattering! I hope you find what you're looking for, I'm really into pants for fall as well :D
ReplyDeleteLove this skirt on you, it's really cute!
ReplyDeleteI think thrifting is probably the best distraction. It tends to be much more fruitful for me than jean shopping. Jeans are the hardest to find.
very cute outfit, as per usual. love all the color.
ReplyDeletei found a pair of high-waisted, wide-legged jeans at the gap, of all places. at one of their new 1969 outposts. even better, gap's sizes are on par with j crew's, so they make you feel super skinny. check 'em out.
also wanted to mention, because i think you'd been curious - i finally found and ordered a minimizer bra from wacoal, and i'm fairly pleased with the results - obviously my boobs haven't disappeared, but i think they have a noticeably minimized silhouette. i think the one i got is even on sale right now.
There's such pretty colors in the pattern on your skirt. I love the puff-like sleeves on your top too.
ReplyDeleteI hear you with jeans! You really have to search to get the one that suits you - and it's not always the big brands. I love your shoes - they are very Dorothy! :)

i strongly dislike trying on denim. i favor a mid rise because it hides my muffin top, but everything is like EXTRA LOW RISE and annoying. and i'm not ~fabulous~ enough for wide leg jeans.
ReplyDeleteI always distract myself by thrifting! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love this look. I may have to recreate it with some similar pieces I have... and you're making me really want some little red peep-toes; what a great pop of color!
