Yeah, this look is pretty typical for me, I know. I was in a hurry this morning because I was running late for an appointment to get my hair cut. The back had grown so long and was getting out of control! I usually try to wait three months between cuts, but I went in at the two-month mark this time because my hair was getting too hard to style straight and I didn’t feel like letting it go curly for a month. I really think my hair grew faster than usual because it was summer.
Also, this is such an abrupt topic change, but does anyone know where I can get some good bat wings to wear for Halloween? I want to be a bat. Not Batgirl, just a bat. I think I might be trying to plan this too late. I went to three big Halloween stores today and none of them had a simple bat costume or even bat wings.
As a fellow short haired girl I hear you re not being able to wait too long between cuts. I use to straighten my hair but I'm trying to embrace my curls these days. I can't wait two months between cuts though! I'm lucky to wait 6 weeks. :)
ReplyDeletewhy don't you try looking online? or on ebay!
ReplyDeletelove the outfit, so cute!
I've always loved your haircut, I can't believe you usually wait three months between cuts! My hair grows so fast I should have to have it cut once a month to keep it that short. Since it's a pain I just cut it myself most of the time, luckily I have super straight hair that is very forgiving.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in this outfit, the skirt is such a pretty shade of blue, and it looks really lovely with the blouse. Good luck with your bat wings search!
I'm not sure where you'd buy them (other than online) but they might be DIT'able! You'd probably just need fabric, some wire and a little prowess with a scissors/needle. This is a lovely outfit by the way...the polka dot top is very cute. Looking forward to seeing your bat outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI love your "typical" look - you have so many adorable skirts!!
ReplyDeleteAs far as bat wings, I'm not sure... maybe you could make some?! You may have to take some fairy-esque wings and turn them into bat wings.
that's exactly why i can't have short hair! it's way too high maintenance (which is exactly the opposite of what people think!). i get my hair cut maybe once a year :)
ReplyDeletealso, there is something about the color of your skirt that i just love! i don't know what it is about that blue...
i love your typical style...
ReplyDeletesome days ago i thought about cut my hair short - suddenly i remembered how stressful short hair cuts are...
well your typical style is cute so go with it :) I would say try etsy or ebay for bat wings but they might not ship to you in time for the big day. Hope you can find something!
ReplyDeletehaha I hope you find some good batwings! :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how crafty you are but i ran across this the other day

Were there not any 'sexy devil' costumes or anything?
Good luck with the costume.
i suck at halloween costumes. last year i was a 'cat' which just meant i wore cat ears and at night drew on whiskers.
ReplyDeletethis is totally a look when i think about your outfits.
Amazing skirt!

The color of your skirt is gorgeous. What a great wardrobe staple. Every outfit you create with it is fab :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your bat wing search! I hope you're able to find what you're looking for. Maybe try Target?
Your style is so awesome. It's always pretty as a rule but it's also bold and arthouse in a lot of ways.
ReplyDeleteGood luck finding the bat wings :)
I really like your shirt. Especially the sleeves. I can never seem to pull it off, but you do it quite nicely.
ReplyDeleteso cute!love your skirt!!
ReplyDeletekisses and have a nice day=)
I love your hairtsyle! Nice outfit too, especially the top. Thanks for sharing the photo and feel free to drop by me too, soon.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew for bat wings. All I can think of is Etsy. Do you still talk to S. from our work? She sewed a bit, maybe if you took her to coffee, she would help making you some batwings!
ReplyDeleteThe only other thing I can think, you know how people make fairy wings? Like bend the hanger wire, then put some tights over them? Maybe you could get some wire and tights and make them into a bat shape!
A bat is a great costume idea! I don't know where you could buy wings though. You might have to make them!
