Blackcessorized

Skirt: thrifted, J. Crew
Top: thrifted, Derek Heart
Belt: thrifted, Liz Claiborne
Tights: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Handbag: Kenneth Cole Reaction, handed down from my mom

Yes, all my accessories are matched, plain black, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that! To be honest, I don’t own that many accessories, and I’m realizing from blogging that I’ll have to collect more. In the past I’ve just focused on clothes, clothes, clothes. However, I like how the simple shapes of the belt, bag, tights and shoes I’m wearing here work together — how the belt and tights have circular shapes while the bag and shoes are more angular.

Today was a typical day of unemployment. I looked for jobs, did chores, showered and dressed, then watched haul videos on YouTube for a couple of hours. I have become addicted to these, particularly if the vlogger has a nice voice, bonus points for a cool accent. Jasen had an audition in the afternoon, and while he was at that, I went to Marshalls with a gift card I thought had about $1 left on it. Well, it turned out to have more than $2! Excitement! I bought a large bag of Blue Mountain blend coffee plus some Gin Gins hard ginger candy for Jasen for about $7 after using the gift card.

  2. Lovvvvvvve the tights. I am realizing just how many more tights I need looking at your collection. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME.

Also I think that's a good day you are describing there. My typical unemployed day is like: wake up entirely too late, panic attack, eat rice, cry over nothing, watch CSI. El oh el!
