RIP Photosmart HP M425

Dress: thrifted
Sweater: thrifted
Socks: Forever 21
Shoes: Naturalizer

These are the last outfit photos I will ever post taken with our cheap point-and-shoot HP camera. After the camera died this evening, I had to rescue the day’s photos by removing the memory card. I was so glad I didn’t lose these photos because I think they’re a bit nicer than usual — the swan song of my little HP.

We were going to wait until December (a month when I get three paychecks, yessss) to buy a new camera. But now we have an excuse to upgrade this week! I’m actually amazed at how long our old $150 camera lasted...we’ve had it for five or six years, I think.

About the outfit: I wore this to do a little thrifting and walk around the Melrose area in L.A. with Jasen. This dress has a somewhat interesting story behind it that I wrote about here. I found it and the sweater I’m wearing at Quality Thrift, which is where I shopped today.

  2. I love the sweater paired with the dress. I'm also a sucker for white socks with everything and the shoes with the double strap are so cute.
What a curious story about the dress, must've been quite a nice surprise when you came across it after so long.

  4. Poor camera. It lasted a really long time, though! I really like the mix of pinkish colors in this look. The sweater works really well over that dress.

  5. I like the pink-on-pink. Monochromatic looks are some of my favorites. Sorry about your camera but also Hurray! New camera!

  6. Really cute outfit on you. It is good that your camera lasted that long, i have an old 35mm Canon hidden somewhere for emergencies that still works, but not as good as my reflex camera.

  8. I'd say you go your moneys worth out of that camera, especially in this day-and-age of throwaway electronics!

I am smitten with this outfit. It's definitely one of my favorites of yours. I think it has to do with those beautiful Autumn hues :)

  15. My computer is so slow that it loads your photos in segments. Which is kind of fun because I can try and guess what type of skirt you have on as it loads. This time I was saying....'have cool socks on'.... 'have cool socks on'....and when it loaded I was rewarded with your awesome socks and shoes.

    Perfectly done pretty girl!
