Dress worn as top: thrifted
Skirt: thrifted
Belt: I think thrifted, given to me by my sister
Shoes: thrifted
Bag: thrifted
I’m just going to come right out and say this is one of my favorite outfits that I’ve ever worn. And an elderly woman walked up to me and complimented it. I LOVE when that happens! I might have cheated a little bit as far as the “thrifted” requirement goes, but I don’t really think I did. I say that for two reasons: (1) the dress I’m wearing as a top came from Crossroads, which doesn’t call itself a thrift store, but this dress was used when I bought it and I traded some of my clothes for it, and (2) Hillary gave me this belt a long time ago and I’m pretty sure she originally found it at Quality Thrift, but I don’t know for sure; either way it belonged to someone else before me. Ugh, I write WAY too many sentences using the coordintating conjunction “but.” I’ve been noticing that in my blog posts. I don’t know what it means...I guess that I make a lot of excuses? I’ll try to stop, but I don’t know if I can. Oh. Whoops.
You look fantastic!! I think this is one of my favourite outfits of yours as well :D Look at your tiny waist! And the khaki colour of the skirt with the florsal and the brown belt... perfection!
ReplyDeleteI love it when random people compliment my outfits too, definitely one of the best feelings.

My writing style becomes very monotonous as well. As for the outfit, it's your best yet (in my opinion)! You were blessed with a tiny waist, and this outfit really accentuates your lovely body. I'm obsessed with the color of your skirt.
ReplyDeletei count it all as thrift:) very cute outfit--i esp love the skirt!

wow...this is my absolute favorite so far. I'd never think to wear that dress as a top like that. It looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour skirt is beautiful - can definitely tell why you love this outfit so much! And I love your hair too, it's adorable!

Gorgeous outfit which shows of your tiny little waist.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit too. The muted colors and pleated skirt are just so perfect. The whole ensemble looks so breezy and comfortable too. By the way, not that it matters, but I'm an ENFJ. I find it interesting when people list their Meyers Briggs :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute outfit. I love it too when old ladies compliment me. The other night I was wearing a pink and white polka dot skirt and a lady told me it reminded her of the 50's. I was not going for Johnny Rocket's, but if she liked it...I really like your style and your blog. I hope you will visit me.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that I use the word "so" constantly on my blog--both as a conjunction and as an intensifier. Kind of ridiculous, especially since I don't really seem to use that word terribly often in real life. I'd imagine that every blogger has some kind of quirk that bugs them about their writing.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is impeccable as usual and really accentuates your tiny waist and beautiful hourglass shape. I love the moss color of your skirt, and your shoes are adorable! <3
I've already said this in chictopia, but I just have to exclaim again that I love this outfit!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so chic!!!Love your skirt!

Thanks! wonderful skirt! so cute and a lovely colour.
ReplyDeletebefore I read your post I was all "WOW this has to be the prettiest outfit I've seen her rock!" and I'm glad you agree :D the pale pink of the top with the almost musty green of the skirt works GORGEOUSLY. The type of colorpairing that was stumbled upon by inspiration and looks so fresh!
ReplyDelete*You are correct on the Quality Thrift assumption. The belt was a whole buck fifty.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit sister!
I adore your bag!
